A luxury, hardcover, full colour book about visual artist Annemiek Punt.
Sometimes Annemiek Punt’s artworks seem like a tangle of shapes and lines, an explosion of colors. But if you look up close, everything is very carefully constructed from layers of glass or paint. Every line and dot is where she wanted to place it.
As one of the best-known glass artists in the Netherlands, Annemiek Punt (1959) has an unprecedented oeuvre to her name. Her expressive glass and painting works, full of movement and color, are a representation of her inner world. They show Punt’s versatility as a visual artist – a visual thinker whose technical skills serve her artistic expression. Her urge to experiment led to unique methods and techniques, as a result of which Punt is recognized as one of the great masters of glass art.
In addition to autonomous works of art, this book also includes sketches, ideas and designs that make her artistic process visible.
